Organization Structure & Management

Learn how to create and manage organizations in Deficiency Detect, the central hub for your projects, buildings, and billing information.

Your Central Hub: The Organization

In Deficiency Detect, the Organization is the fundamental parent entity that groups all your construction activities, projects, and associated data. It acts as your company's central account within the platform.

Easy Creation for Every User

Any registered user on Deficiency Detect has the capability to create their own organization. This means you can quickly set up your company's presence and start managing your construction projects right away. Whether you're a general contractor, a specialized trade, or a consulting firm, your organization provides a dedicated space for your operations.

The Foundation for Billing

Your organization is directly linked to your billing information and payment plans. When you set up projects and add buildings, all associated costs are consolidated under the umbrella of your organization's subscriptions. This provides a clear, centralized view of your expenses and simplifies financial management.

Containing Your Projects and Buildings

Once your organization is established, you can begin adding Projects. Each project then serves as a container for your Buildings, which are the actual structures you're working on. This hierarchical structure ensures that all your data is logically organized and easy to navigate.

  • Projects: Define specific construction jobs or phases under your organization. Each project comes with its own set of settings, teams, and data.
  • Buildings: Within each project, you can add one or more buildings. While a project typically includes one building by default, you have the flexibility to add additional buildings as needed, with costs clearly outlined per project (as discussed in detail on the Billing page).

This structure ensures that your data is not only isolated and secure but also logically grouped, reflecting the real-world complexity of construction projects.
